Funky Fixes, Tipz 'N' Trix
For clearomisers, tanks and atomisers [or whatever you like to call them . . . "the top bit you put the juice in" has always been popular, if a little long winded]
- If you have a gurgling problem with your clearomiser, it may be flooding. Grab a tissue or paper towel and hold it over the end of the clearomiser. Point the clearomiser towards the ceiling and blow gently through the mouthpiece. This will force any excess liquid out of the centre tube. While you have the clearomiser off the battery, give the heating plate on the battery a wipe over as well, in case there's any excess liquid there..
- Another potential gurgle making issue can be caused by the silicone cap not sealing against the coil post properly [H2 single coils]. The best solution universally [according to the vaping chat rooms, forums and YouTube] is to remove the silicone cap, turn it upside down [so the open end is facing up], and put it back on the coil post. This will solve the problem but personally, I've found a better solution is to leave the original silicone cap on the coil post and add a second silicone cap [turned upside down as above] on top of the first . . . it's kind of like double bagging your groceries . . . just in case. This issue was mainly found with the short coils; I have had no reports of similar problems with the Kanger Tech coils we are currently supplying, but should the issue arise for you, test this theory.
- When re-filling or replacing a coil in your ProTank 2, remove the drip tip before you take the threaded base plate off. Once the drip tip is removed, the top of the drip tip connector ring is flat and you can put the ProTank body down without worrying about it falling over. It's so much easier than juggling the body, threaded base plate and liquid bottle or coil all at once.
- For cleaning purposes, water is stated as the thing to use; that's the basic starting point. From my perspective, boiling water that has cooled slightly should have most impurities removed and would be a fine choice but the Americans state a preference for distilled water (available in most supermarkets and it's not expensive; comes in a 2lt bottle generally) or vodka. And yes, they do recommend a slug or 2 of the vodka for yourself during the cleaning process . . . don't see how this helps the clearomiser get any cleaner, but the Americans swear by it (the nip or 2 for yourself I mean . . . alcohol would theoretically clean more thoroughly than water, distilled or otherwise, but I'm quite sure that you drinking the vodka while cleaning your clearomisers isn't going to aid the process in any significant way . . please let me know if I'm wrong)
For Batteries
For clumsy people [like me]

* Make sure that you press the LED button on your Spinner II Twist Batteries in the centre of the button. Pressing the button on any other angle may cause it to stick ... especially if you've dropped yours as often as I have but mainly because the button is an odd shape with pointy edges!
* If you've been throwing your H2 around like I regularly do, you may find that the base pulls away from the body slightly, which could lead to leakage problems (hasn't leaked on me, but the possibility exists). Just push them back together and you won't have an issue. Be gentle though, there's no need for the strength of the Hulk here.
Supplementary to this tip : I've been told that the H2 can also start to pull apart at the metal ring on the bottom of the body if you're using the 2 silicone cap method to stop the gurgling and liquid leakage into the centre tube issue. I'm told that over time, the additional silicone cap can force the metal ring and the body apart slightly. The solution is the same, simply push the parts back together but my adviser added the step of taping the body and metal ring together with good old gaffa tape and then trimming it off to make it look pretty . . . geez you're an ingenious lot!
* Always make sure that the coil in any of the re-buildable Clearomisers is screwed in securely before you refill and reconnect to your Battery ... yep, you guessed it ... potential leakage issues are the thing here again ... the vapers worst nightmare.
* My most recent discovery is that you must make sure that you remove the threaded base from the cross hatched part and not the smooth metal base ring on the ProTank 2. If you unscrew it from the smooth part of the metal base ring, the tank will fall out and you'll wear any liquid remaining in the clearomiser . . . messy . . . and I didn't even drop it before I learnt that little tip!
* From a valued friend : we all know the Vision Spinner II Twist Batteries don't fit the lanyards you would normally use to keep your BFF close to your heart (we're still trying to find a suitable alternative that we like) but I've been told that the best option currently available is the leather pouch sold by various retailers. The thing you have to remember though is that the pouch is made of leather and over time, leather has a nasty habit of stretching (I mean, cows stretch their hides when they grow, just like people, so it's only logical).
So here's the tip ~ to stop your Spinner II Twist falling out of your leather pouch as move through your day, wrap a rubber band around the outside of the pouch and secure the Battery : it'll keep your Spinner II Twist Battery safe and secure in the leather pouch, regardless of how much you jiggle around. And who wouldn't want to give their new BFF a sense of safety and security?
If you've got any tips or tricks that you've discovered over time, pass them on so we can all benefit from your experience ... flick us an email ... promise I won't mention you by name . . . unless you want me to . . .
